PLS Helps Equip Kids for Back to School

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) October 12, 2008 -- PLS Loan Store's annual nationwide Back-To-School promotion was a huge hit with store customers--as well as the schools across the U.S. which benefited from $100 checks and backpacks filled with school supplies.

Customers visited PLS Loan Stores to nominate local schools to receive a donation. On August 18, each PLS location held a drawing of nominated schools, and the winning school received a $100 donation. Each store also contributed five backpacks loaded with school supplies to a local school or charity, and five more backpacks were awarded to customers.

More than $34,000 was donated in total. Dozens of schools and charitable organizations in Alabama, Arizona, California, Illinois, Indiana, Mississippi, Texas and Wisconsin received donations through the promotion.

Sharon Mark-Taylor, Executive Director of the Gary Commission for Women, expressed her thanks to PLS Financial Services in a letter, noting:
